Berry Crumble

Actually, I wanted to bake an Apple Crumble this morning - difficult without apples. But the whole thing works and tastes just as good with other fruits. So if you're looking for a delicious, healthy and vegan snack for your coffee table, this recipe is for you.

Chocolate & Nut Bliss Balls

Snack time! With a coffee, as a small dessert, or before a workout, these Bliss Balls are full of healthy fats and do not contain industrial sugar. You still don't have to miss out on the good taste - just a tablespoon of honey provides the necessary sweetness.

Crêpes

Are you guys in the fall mood yet? I'm really looking forward to fall this year. Something that is definitely part of it for me is crepes. I like to eat them with Nutella, my fiancé loves them with cinnamon and sugar. What goes on a crêpe for you guys?

Vegan Lentil Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin soup and autumn simply belong together for me. This recipe also scores extra points for containing lentils as a source of protein, which also make the soup extra creamy when pureed.

Almond Crunch Granola

Running out of time in the morning? A simple, super fast breakfast I like is granola. Unfortunately the store-bought ones are often full of sugar and additives - so why not making your own granola at home? Most ingredients are staple items at my house, it’s super easy to make and can be prepared in advanced and stored for multiple days. -Natascha

Vegan Pumpkin Bread

Just as much as I love autumn and its bright colors, I also love that pumpkins come in all shapes and colors at this time of year. These can be used in a variety of sweet and savory recipes. Today I present to you a recipe for a vegan sweet pumpkin bread. (Similar to banana bread). It tastes especially good with orange jam, for example.

Protein Brownies

Hey there chocolate lovers! Here's a super chocolaty, protein-packed version of the popular brownies. A great snack for Sunday coffee or maybe even a breakfast idea - how could the day start better?

Chocolate Cherry Pie with Zucchini

Currently, we have a lot of zucchini in our garden, so I always think about new ways to use them. My latest attempt was a chocolate cake with cherries. The zucchini and the cherries make the cake nice and juicy. Do you grow your own veggies? How do you use them?

Carrotcake Blissballs

A quick, protein-packed snack for in-between meals: these Carrot Cake Blissballs are the fitness version of the popular carrot cake. Perfect for on the go, as an afternoon snack at the office or to accompany your coffee on the weekend. Raw, vegan, healthy and super delicious!

Indian Lentil Soup

Today I have for you an Indian lentil soup. I like lentils now very much and in combination with curry, coconut milk and ginger it tastes just wonderful. And the lime juice also adds its own touch. Simply super. Have fun trying it out.

Chocolate Banana Bread

I know, many of you probably had more than enough banana bread in the past few months. However, I love trying new versions. My latest creation: a high-protein banana bread with delicious chocolate drops.

Lemon Balm Syrup

Are you hot? The summer has been really wonderful so far, but if you need a refreshment, I have just the right recipe for you: a lemon balm syrup that you can add to your water. A great alternative to store-bought ones!

Blueberry-Hazelnut-Sundae

With the weather being this great, I felt like having a nice sundae. I have to admit that my own contribution here is limited, but I do not want to deprive you of the delicious combination of fruit and nuts. It was just too delicious 🙂 Try it!

Vegan Italian Soft Cheese

Food trends are going towards a plant-based diet - unfortunately, there are not yet many healthy substitutes for cheese. How about making your own cheese substitute quickly and easily? - Just give it a try!

„Magnum“ Ice Cream Bars

When I think about summer, one thing I always look forward to is sitting outside and eating ice cream. If I had to choose a flavor, chocolate and nut would definitely be on top of the list. As a kid I loved the Magnum ice cream with the chocolate almond coating. So today I decided to try a slightly different version of that, with more protein, less sugar, but just as delicious!

Chocolate Cherry Muffins with Coconut Flakes

The chocolate cherry muffins with coconut flakes are great to enjoy with a fresh espresso or cappuccino and are also suitable for anyone suffering from allergies, as they are vegan and gluten-free. The cherries also give the creamy muffins a fresh, summery note. - The perfect treat to bring when you're invited for coffee.

Healthy Bienenstich

As a child, one of my favorite cakes was the Bienenstich. Recently, I saw a recipe on Instagram that was supposed to be a healthy alternative to it. I modified the ingredients to match what I had at home, and here it is, my very own variation.

Pasta Salad with fresh herbs

This pasta salad is easy to make and scores with a great look because the red tomatoes are a great combination with the green color of the fresh herbs. The salad tastes best when the pasta had enough time to soak in the dressing. Enjoy!

Red Beet & Quinoa Salad

The perfect side for your next barbecue or a tasty lunch for the office, this quinoa salad brings variety to the table, is super quick and easy to make, and is also great to prepare for the next day

Chocolate Mousse: A Healthy Alternative

My absolute favorite among desserts: chocolate mousse. Best with dark chocolate, nice and fluffy. Unfortunately, not only rich in taste, but also in fat and calories. I make that every now and then, but it's not something for every weekend. Therefore, I looked for an alternative, and this one has convinced me. Make sure to try!

Caipirinha Cake

Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge fan of Caipirinha. Today I have baked a summery and fresh cake in Caipi-style. This is a kid-friendly version without alcohol in the filling, but for the original caipi taste you can swap the lime juice with Cachaca. Enjoy!

Protein Chocolate Spread

Here comes a healthy alternative for Nutella, that is high and protein and a perfect spread on bread, rice cakes or just as delicious by itself. Definitely give it a try for afternoon carvings for sweets.

Fluffy Apple Pie

Looking for a light and fluffy cake for Sunday coffee? Here you go. Very few simple ingredients and a quick prep time make this fruity and delicious pastry the ideal last-minute option for spontaneous visitors.

Rhubarb Crumble Cake

Is the rubarb ready to harvest yet? On Sunday I harvested mine for the first time this year used it for a cake. Fresh from the oven, and served with cream it was just wonderful. It takes a little longer to prepare because of the yeast dough, but it's worth it.

Marinated Steaks

Today we had steaks for dinner because we still had some meat from our organic cow in the freezer. I have cooked the meat sous-vide in a water bath to get it nice and juicy inside. For this recipe, you will need a vacuum sealer (with two u, all right, thank you autocorrection) and a device that can keep the temperature consistent (cooker, stick, or thermometer). If you try this at home, let me know how you like it!

Nutella Muffins

From a culinary point of view, you can find almost everything in the US. But what I really miss sometimes is a good old "typical European" breakfast. And what should not be missing on any German breakfast table? Nutella, of course. But there is a lot more you can do with it than just spread it on your rolls, the nut-nougat cream is also great for baking. And baking can hardly be easier than with these muffins - simply mix all the ingredients together and put them in the oven.

Arugula Salad with Mushrooms

This delicious arugula salad with mushrooms is prepared within minutes and is perfect for a weeknight dinner. Usually I like to combine arugula with feta. In this recipe I used mozzarella instead, which was different but quite tasty. Give it a try!

Nut Cake

Today I've got another cake for you. I used a Gugelhupf mold, simply because I like the look. This time it is a basic recipe from my mom, in which I have adapted little things. I often bake in small molds since there are only two of us. If that's the case for you too, you can easily halve the quantities in the recipe.

Veggie Mushroom Stir Fry

I actually wanted to try this recipe with my new sous vide cooker. Due to lack of time, I opted for the quick version in the pan and definitely didn't regret it! Bon appetit 🙂

Power Muffins

Before a workout, I always need a little snack that gives me energy, but is not to heavy. I like to have something sweet, so granola bars or Bliss Balls are my favorites. This time I just filled the mixture into my beloved muffin tin and baked Power Muffins.

Chocolate Cake

Ready for a Sunday treat? Here comes a chocolate cake which is sure to please almost the whole family. The recipe is from my grandma and I absolutely love it. Have fun.

Vegan Romanesco Tomato Casserole

Today's recipe is super quick and easy to prepare and is also very healthy and low in calories. The casserole has lots of vegetables, beluga lentils as a source of veggie protein and hazelnuts as a natural source of fat. It's also easy to prepare, just pop it in the oven after work and enjoy.

Banana Date Cake

During the Corona Lockdown, probably no one has been able to avoid banana bread. But banana is actually also super suitable for many healthier cake, muffin & pastry versions. Its natural sweetness and soft texture make it a real all-rounder ingredient for your home bakery. Time to get your hands on the mixer!

Crunchy Rolls

I can't remember the last time I bought bread at the bakery. For some time I bake it myself now and am very satisfied, even if I have so far only baked with yeast. Sourdough, however, is already on the list to try But even with yeast, fresh or sometimes with the dry version, you can make great breads, rolls, and baguettes - and it's really not that difficult. Just give it a try. Here's a simple recipe for some crunchy rolls.

Carrot-Walnut Sauce

Here's a nutty carrot sauce you need to try with your next pasta dish! Without consciously paying attention to it, it has even become vegan. Bon appetite!

Raw, Vegan Red Beet Hummus

This easy red beet hummus doesn't need any cooking and is ideal for dipping vegetable sticks or as a topping for rice cakes. The spices give the hummus a strong note and make it taste anything but boring. In contrast to conventional hummus from the store, it contains much less saturated fat and artificial preservatives. You should definitely try this!

Carrot Fritters

Snacks and light lunches are something that I love to try. If it is super easy, needs only a few ingredients and tastes great, the recipe quickly becomes a fixed part of my repertoire and regularly ends up on our plates. This is also how it was with these carrot fritters. Who says fritters always need to be made from potatoes?

Ground Meat Strudel

Sometimes I just prefer savory food. This ground meat strudel is similar to the burger casserole, super tasty but also very rich. Since the ground meat does not need to be fried beforehand, the meal is prepared in no time. Only forty-five minutes preparation and baking time (total) is needed for this delicious dish. Try it out!

Banana Peanutbutter Muffins

Lately I am, first, completely into baking, and second have I developed a major love for nut butter. Both together in combination with a passion for sweet snacks result in these delicious, super easy banana peanutbutter muffins. Enjoy!

Chickpea Curry

Today I'm gonna show you a super fast, delicious curry with chickpeas and coconut milk. I served it with rice, but I could also imagine potatoes with it - or just the curry by itself. I hope you enjoy trying.

Spinach Feta Scones

Most of us probably know scones from British movies. They are often served as a sweet accompaniment to afternoon tea. But the biscuit dough can also be made into a hearty snack. Just give it a try!

Oat Cookies

Oat Cookies are so simple and yet so delicious. I made a chocolate version today, but if you are not a fan of that, just leave out the chocolate drops. This tastes just as good. Have fun.

Rainbow Torte

Inside this cake hides - surprise - a rainbow. The cake is super easy to make and makes the perfect birthday cake for kids with its colorful appearance.

Raw Vegan Peanutbutter Cake Bites

You don't even have to bake these little cake bites. There are no industrial sugar or any animal products used, but this sweet dessert is in no way lacking in taste and enjoyment. Look forward to a nutritious, healthy snack - without "bad ingredients" and "feeling guilty"!

Coffee Walnut Brownies

Brownies are one of my favorite pastries. In addition to the classic chocolate flavor and walnut pieces, this version also scores with a little hint of coffee - perfect for me as a coffee lover.

Lamb and Bean Stew

Lamb and Bean stew Stews are perfect for the cold winter time. I got this recipe from my mom when I moved out. I've been cooking it regularly ever since, because what can I say? Recipes from moms actually almost always taste good. Have you ever eaten lamb? If not, just give it a try.... Continue Reading →

Carrot-Tomato Sauce

This variation on a classic tomato sauce is perfect for those who love it spicy and creamy. We had farfalle with this; however, I will definitely try this sauce with gnocchi or roasted vegetables. If you can think of any other ways to use it, please leave me a comment 🙂

Classic Pea Stew

Every year in autumn and winter I cook lots of soups and stews, and sometimes I carry on this habit into spring as well. This year, a classic from my childhood was back on the table: pea stew. With a homemade, crusty bread on the side it's a great dish for a larger group of people, but you can also freeze the leftovers and keep them for days when time is short, but you still do not want to miss a delicious meal.

Vegan Porridge Bowl With Fruit

This porridge bowl is perfect for an extended breakfast on the weekend and gives a lot of strength for a subsequent workout. By soaking the nuts in water beforehand, the body is able to absorb the nutrients from them even better. Give it a try if you like a good, sweet and healthy breakfast!

Vegan Chocolate Cake

A chocolate cake that is healthy, vegan and super delicious at the same time? No problem. The secret ingredient is apple sauce. You can use it to replace eggs, as well as give the cake a natural sweetness. In addition, the cake is also easy and super fast to make, what more could you want?

Chicken Soup

A great recipe in winter, when the cold season is at its peak, is this easy chicken soup. Even if you don't have a cold or are sick, the soup is great to warm you from the inside during the cold season. The taste, I'd say, isn't bad either 😀 Enjoy.

Chocolate Waffles

I really wonder why I have only baked light waffles until now. This chocolatey recipe is a delight in the afternoon and provides a beautiful visual contrast when the powdered sugar trickles down onto the chocolate waffle. I personally like to offer my guests a choice of different waffles, if you are the same way, you might want to add these chocolate waffles to some Belgian Waffles. Enjoy!

Black and White Thalers

With this recipe, vanilla and chocolate fans get their money’s worth. Depending on your taste, you can use more or less vanilla. Try a small piece of dough in advance to be sure 🙂

Cinnamon Stars with Nuts

How about some classic cinnamon Stars this Christmas? I use cinnamon the whole year, but at Christmas, it is nevertheless again something special. In combination with nuts and rum flavor, it’s even better.

Cinnamon Stars with Honey

The classic cinnamon stars for Christmas are made with rum flavor and nuts. If that's not quite your taste, I have a version with honey for you. Maybe you like it better? I love both very much.

Angel Eyes

Something for the fruit lovers among you. A simple light dough with jam. You are welcome to adjust the variety of jam to your taste. I like especially cherry or currant, but apricot or apple are great choices as well.

Bulgur Stir-Fry

Bulgur is a wonderful and also healthier alternative to pasta, potatoes or rice. I wanted to try something different as well and created a delicious variation to the typical rice stir-fry. Quick to prepare and it has a lot to offer in terms of flavor as well. Bon appetit!

Yogurt Bread

Today I show you my new favorite bread! It is not quite as fast to prepare as other yeast breads, but convinces with a fluffy dough and crust (for a life with toddlers definitely relevant!). I used wheat flour (type 550) and rye flour (type 1150) for my bread, but the wheat flour can also be replaced by spelt flour (type 630). Definitely a must try!

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Muffins

My Oatmeal Muffins are a great snack to take to work. Using applesauce does not only give you the possibility to replace eggs when baking but also adds valuable vitamins. The oatmeal is very filling and gives you the energy to start the day well.

Nut Ring Cake

Actually this recipe is rather wintry and spreads Christmas vibes, but I was already in the mood for a nut ring cake. It's super easy and fast and I like it all year round. Perfect for everyone who likes sweet pastries without any cream or fruit. Enjoy!

Tomato Salad

Watch out tomato fans: Today I have a recipe for a tomato salad with a delicious soy dressing for you. This light salad is super suitable as a barbecue side dish, but also makes the perfect small midday snack. Enjoy!

Chocolate Hummus

Usually, I like hummus best with lots of garlic and chili with my falafel. But did you know that you can also process chickpeas to a super healthy, delicious dessert, dip, or spread? Naturally sweetened, and without any baking or cooking, you can have a delicious, sweet choice on the table in just a few minutes. Tastes great with pita chips, as a spread on rice cakes, or simply with a spoon right out of the jar - definitely give it a try!

Mushroom Pesto

A delicious mushroom pesto pounded with my mortar, which, in addition to the conventional use as a pasta sauce, is a great spread for bread or can even be used as a mushroom filling. You can use different kinds of mushrooms up to your taste.

Vegan Turmeric Curry with Fried Tofu and Rice

This vegan turmeric curry with fried tofu and rice makes a great quick, warming dinner for colder days. The many different vegetables make the recipe especially healthy, the tofu serves as a source of vegetable protein and the whole grain rice provides the ideal satiety. A clear advantage of the recipe is that it is completely without artificial additives, without losing flavor. Just give it a try!

Pumpkin-Potato-Casserole

This hearty and flavorful pumpkin and potato casserole impresses with its simplicity: potatoes, sweet potatoes and Hokkaido pumpkin. It's not much more than that, but the result is just fantastic!

Carrot-Ginger-Soup

Most of us know that ginger supports the immune system. And carrots are also a great source of vitamins and minerals. Together with potatoes, onions, an apple and some cream cheese, these ingredients make a delicious, creamy soup quickly and easily. Bon appetit!

Vegan Winter Vegetable Stew with Papadams

Today I want to show you a great winter dish with an Indian twist. It warms wonderfully from the inside and impresses especially with the exotic spices that give the recipe an Indian touch. The side dish is papadams, an Indian flatbread that is fried in oil in a pan. As always, this recipe contains plenty of nutritious vegetables and is quick and easy to prepare. -Pauline

Vegan Date Bites with Coconut & Pecans

The vegan date bites are a great alternative to a regular piece of cake to your coffee. Not using flour makes them gluten-free - so they are great for anyone with intolerance. Except the dark chocolate, no industrial sugar is added. The dates serve as a natural sweetener and are full of healthy nutrients. The pecans and coconut serve as a source of good fat and also ensure that the bites are well satiating.

Chocolate-Coffee Cookie Dough

Raise your hand, if you licked out the bowl when your mom made a cake when you were a kid. I was one of those kids that loved the dough so much that only half of it ended up in the baking pan. And I have to admit that even today I can't keep my hands off cookie and cake dough. So I was thrilled when the cookie dough trend came up - a cookie dough that's meant to be eaten before it's baked? A dream come true! This version also does not need any industrial sugar, making it a perfect healthy dessert 🙂

Chocolate Ring Cake

After a long time I wanted to make another ring cake and have been looking for a good recipe. The result is this juicy chocolate bomb with delicious curd cheese filling. You need a lot of ingredients, but for us it was worth it. Due to the juicy dough, the cake is still good to eat even after several days. 🙂

Moroccan Couscous Salad

This time I received a pomegranate with my monthly produce box, which of course I wanted to use immediately. I decided to make a Moroccan couscous salad, which can be eaten as a side dish or as a main meal. I have to admit that the ingredients might require a trip to a Turkish or Moroccan grocery store, since chances are high that you don't have everything at home. But it's worth it: the salad is really easy and quick to prepare and still tastes super fresh the next day!

Spinach-Feta-Quiche

The combination of salmon, spinach and feta is quite popular and I also just love this delicious taste. Served as quiche it takes a while in the oven, but it’s worth it!

Sprinkle Cake

Let’s party! This cake invites you to celebrate and is certainly THE eye-catcher at the next family celebration. Of course, the decorating did not go super well for me, but I‘m sure you can do better 🙂 Taste-wise, the cake can also convince: A fluffy base meets a light cheese cream, which I have colored blue in this attempt.

Sweet Breakfast Wrap

When I think of wraps, my favorite Mexican restaurant comes to my mind immediately. I usually get their burrito filled with rice, avocado, corn, beans and salsa. Together with a cold Corona this makes the perfect Friday night. Lately I enjoy wraps for breakfast, too – as a sweet version with cream cheese, fruits & granola. Keeps you full for a long time, is super tasty and just something different.

French Toast Rolls

I'm not usually a fan of warm breakfast ideas, but these Toast Rolls with banana and Nutella are different. They are quickly prepared and also not too much for the early morning hours. Have fun!

Fresh Summer Salad with Chickpeas, Feta & Mint

For me, a perfect barbecue always includes a fresh salad. The version that I show you today can score with a few extra proteins besides a lot of crunchy vegetables. The freshly chopped mint gives the salad an oriental, summery touch. Since the salad is well-satiated by the chickpeas and feta, it not only makes a great side dish, but also a main course if you're in the mood for something a little lighter. Be sure to try it out and give us feedback on what you think. 🙂

Broccoli-Mushroom-Patties

Who of you enjoys the last warm summer days with a nice bbq? To add some variety on the grill, we had burgers this week. But we did not just have any patty between the burger buns: homemade veggie patties made from broccoli and mushrooms - yum! Tip: Vegan? No big deal! Just leave out the cheese or use a vegan version. The egg can be replaced by flaxseed mixed with water.

Pear Muffins

Currently, I am very passionate about pears: juicy, fruity and easy to process. Today I have this delicious fall fruit lightly braised in a curd cheese muffin and refined with a bit of vanilla. Are you also a pear fan? Then try out the pear muffins right away. Enjoy! 🙂
